Precarity
A downloadable Zine
The housing market in Vancouver is pretty fucked.
Here’s a zine about it.
Precarity is written and illustrated by Avery Rawlins, about what it was like to be an immigrant and international student in the most expensive city in the world. As Avery lived in Vancouver, they had to worry about making rent in a nation that became increasingly anti-immigrant by cleaning houses for the wealthy and staying as safe as possible during the pandemic.
Included are black and white illustrations of the author’s living beside the essay about how those places impacted them.
